Life has a way of putting things into perspective. He helps me appreciate the good times through days when I feel down, upset, simply, just sad. To bring me to. To bring me through. To feel things again just once more. Let this be a reminder the past is in the past. No harm can be done. You have made it through. A different place. A different time. A different person. A beautiful one. I must believe.
Believe in Him, with all my heart and soul. He knows, He sees, all the beautiful characteristics and qualities, that which make me. Who am I to doubt? Who am I to tremble in fear over things that have done, said and gone? I have my days, we all do. Life happens, we wonder about, we think and we pray for His loving guidance. Please Lord, help lead us on our way.
To be a shining beacon, or simply candle light. Be that special someone who brings hope to someone else’s life. Be an answer to someone’s prayer. Reach out and show you care. If you hold on, to what seems like forever, eventually your heart will speak, after thoughts in your mind. Your eyes know what to say. I’ve carried the weight, the load far too long. Part of my nature, being stubborn and strong-willed, I thought the feelings would just subside, ease up, fade, just simply go away. Let it go, I tried, never knowing how much hurt is felt inside. It’s okay. Now I know I still have more healing to do, places and ways to grow.
Never for once think that tears are a sign of weakness. Having tears flow down, one may feel vulnerable. Being vulnerable opens us up to the truth in one another. Tears, real tears, that start in the heart. All real, no acting not fake. Respect one another for little do we know one another’s sorrow or story. What may seem like an overreaction to something, may very well be just a part of the journey. A story of faith and healing, overcoming and believing.
Many people I know, face much larger, more complicated challenges and storms in life. Regardless of the size and the storm, each and everyone of us are equipped with our own tools to help us on the journey. We each walk our own path, the one that has been uniquely designed for us. It’s up to us to decide how we move about, the choices we make and how we choose to walk along.
Something beautiful, that God has done, is that He has selected His finest people and placed them strategically on our path, knowing we would need support along the way. Not someone to feel sorry for us, rather those who are compassionate, help to lift us up. The people He has chosen, each have a specific purpose. Many of them, I have noticed, have loved and seen me through my darkest days (don’t get me wrong as there have been happy moments too.)
My goal, is to be uplifting. Support those who need to hear His word, messages that come through me. Sometimes, the messenger, needs messages from God too, through that of other people. I am so grateful for in my life, there have been people, family and friends who have remained right there beside me. Some at a distance, others in my own home. Regardless, I know they send good thoughts and prayers uplifting me in spirit.
So, when the days of the past and loneliness does ring through, remember you are never alone and you will make it through. Don’t be afraid to show your true colors and allow the tears to fall down all the way, not kept inside of you. Open yourself to being vulnerable for you never know how your story will help to heal the soul of another. Maybe you wont see it now. Maybe you don’t understand how, what you are going through is creating the next chapter of your life. The people you will meet, the works of God you will do, will be revealed. Just put your faith and trust in Him and He will help you through.
Another day God has given me. Provided me with friendships tried and true. Tomorrow will be better than the last. Today, I learned a thing or two. Always be thankful and give so much gratitude. Be humbled by His workings and the tests he has been and is putting you through. Even through difficult times, many beautiful things can come to light. His light will shine through other people. It is then, you know He is there. He has answered your prayer.
The greatest act of faith some days is to simply get up and face another day.
