Disparity of Light

On the morning of 11.12.2020, He brought to mind the phrase, “Disparity of Light.” For some reason, He likes to use bigger vocabulary with me when He speaks. I trust His word, however; I need to look up word definitions to ensure the words I have written aligns with messages He is trying to convey.

I took a few minutes exploring various websites, looking up the word disparity to have a better understanding of it, more clarity in helping to share His messages.

The most commonly used words to describe disparity included:

A difference

Unequal

Imbalance

He brought to mind the reference about the light within us all. Each of us, we are “A Child of God.” We have His light in us. We are meant to shine and be all who He created us to be.

Living in times with so much uncertainty, darkness, hate, fear (just to name a few), the light within becomes less intense, dim, dark, barely a flicker or even a spark. Many have forgotten about, turned away from Him.

There is hurt.

There is pain.

Injustices in the world.

Argue

Fight

Complain

Turn your eyes towards God and become one with Him in the light. Learn to love yourself. Appreciate and accept all that you are and the characteristics that make you unique. Agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with being different. Perspectives, not all are the same.

Turn away from jealousy. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Wishing you had what they had, whether looks or materialistic things does you no good.

Stop expecting

Start living

Be grateful

More appreciating

God, He has called upon all of us. Each of us, we all have a special mission, a purpose in mind. He knows we will do something amazing, great! We are His chosen people. He has called us by name.

To love, to serve, to live a life like that of Christ. People do us wrong. That is of the flesh and not of the spirit. Those who are of the Spirit, abide by, are faithful, filled with His unconditional love, compassion and the utmost forgiveness. We are human, make mistakes. As long as we learn from them and move on, it’s the greatest gift to our soul.

He will wipe away, erase our sins and wrongdoings. Take time, confess, repent, engage in conversation, give it all up to Him. No matter who you are, your past, struggles and trials you have been going through, age, gender, race, marital status, occupation, income, where you live, just know each day you have the opportunity to have a fresh start, start new again..

He wants us to get to know Him, engage in meaningful conversations. He wants to provide shelter for us. Make sure to create time and space, invite Him into in. To be at peace, have a heart filled with joy and happiness, experience solitude, provides Christ with the perfect conditions in order to feel His presence and hear His word.

Over time, as you learn to have faith and trust Him in all things, darkness will fade. As the darkness fades, so does the anxiety, worry, fear, hate, uncertainty and pain, giving way for light once again. The more of His light we allow to shine through, lessens the disparity between darkness and light.

Hello and welcome, I am so glad we have crossed paths! It’s no accident you are here! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, notice and read. As a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher (and so much more), I see the world through my lens. From the way I was raised, to every experience, moment, and circumstance in life, has shaped the way I think and see the world. For several years now, I have been walking more closely with God, getting to know Him, how He speaks to me and through me. He has given me the ability to write, a way to express how I am feeling and what I am going through. This has been a beautiful, crazy kind of journey where much healing is taking place. A time where I need to offer myself up some grace and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and commitment to creating a better version of myself. I am learning how to work through and release old trauma, healing, shedding old layers of myself, accepting and embracing my true and authentic self. Getting to know the new me has been quite foreign, especially when the old wants to cling to what is familiar, old habits and mindsets. Writing has been my saving grace (and photography is right up there too). An outlet, a way to release, a way to pause, reflect and see there is more than what my mind is leading me to believe. God’s word, His voice is there. When I keep Him first, above all things, I’ve realized things work out for my greater good, my higher purpose. I hope you enjoy and find words of wisdom you can relate to!
